Photo Preparation Tips

Here's some tips for preparing and packaging your photos for scanning:

We can only scan loose prints only, so please remove all prints from albums and album pages.
Photos must not be torn, bent, creased or folded. Please check that there is no hanging tape or sticky substance on the photographs and remove all staples, paper clips etc, as these will damage the scanner.
This service is for standard thickness photos only. Photographs must be not be mounted (not on any thick backing). Photos on thick card, along with Polaroid photos, cannot be scanned using this service.
Photos can be no smaller than wallet size (2”x3”) or larger than 8"x12".
Please sort photos by size, smallest to largest. We suggest that you bundle each size separately. Portrait and landscape orientation photos should also be grouped and bundled separately. All photos should be face up.
We recommend that you clean the surface of the photo with a clean dry cloth to remove any marks or blemishes. Any dirt on the surface will be reproduced in the scanned digital image.
